1. Get to Know Your Trezor Device
Trezor offers two main models:
Trezor Model One: A popular choice for beginners, supporting a wide range of cryptocurrencies.
Trezor Model T: With advanced features, a touchscreen, and broader coin support, it’s perfect for experienced users.
No matter which model you have, you’re choosing excellent security and user-friendly access to your assets.
2. Begin Setup at Trezor.io/start
To get started, open Trezor.io/start in your browser. This will guide you through each step, ensuring that your Trezor device is set up properly and securely.
3. Install the Trezor Suite
Trezor Suite is your all-in-one application for managing your Trezor wallet. You can use it on your desktop or as a web app. We recommend the desktop version for maximum security. Trezor Suite supports:

Download Trezor Suite directly from Trezor.io/start and follow the installation prompts.
4. Connect Your Trezor

5. Install Firmware

6. Create a New Wallet

Select “Create a new wallet” on Trezor Suite.
Write down your recovery seed: You’ll be given a list of 12, 18, or 24 random words—this is your recovery seed. Write it down on paper and store it in a secure place. This recovery seed is your backup in case you lose your Trezor.
Tip: Never share your recovery seed online or with anyone! It’s your access to your funds if you lose your device.
7. Set Your PIN and Optional Passphrase
For additional security:
Set a PIN to prevent unauthorized access to your Trezor.
Choose a passphrase (optional): Advanced users can set a passphrase, an extra layer of security on top of the recovery seed.
8. Add Accounts and Coins
With your wallet created, you can add accounts for different cryptocurrencies:
